This was one of the best shows i seen in recent years!!! Steve amazed the crowd with his incredible range!!! This band is back and here to stay... 2nd oncore was "when you love a woman"

I saw Journey last night at the Oakdale in CT. What do you get when you combine awesome vocals, great musicianship, and the best songs in rock? You get a band that absolutely cranks for two and a half hours. Old legends die hard, but having seen both Steve's live now I have to admit that the future looks very bright for this band. I don't think there is going be any problem with the change to the new lineup. Steve Augeri has only been with the band a matter of months and he is already fronting the band like a seasoned performer. The guy is a powerhouse. As for Deen C., he is another lucky break for the band. Talk about into it!! He provided the energy behind each song and really let you know that you were at a ROCK concert!! I guess that sums it up, the new guys really put the edge back into the band. You just aren't going to see a better show. The slacker bands should leave the music to the professionals.

I saw Journey at the Oakdale in Wallingford, CT and have to say the show was great. Aside from a few mistakes, Steve A. did a great job, along with Dean. I have seen Journey at the Hartford Civic Center in CT before. Once for the Frontiers Tour (I had eighth row on the floor center, a dream) and twice for the Raised On Radio Tour. I have to say that hearing, faithfully through your web page, Steve Perry wasn't in the band anymore almost made me not see them this tour. I was in my seat 1 hour before the show began and heard people over talking about how they didn't realize Steve Perry wasn't in the band anymore until that night. I think those of us who are faithful to the band have to understand some of the criticism that is going to come from the new Steve singing. There's not much new material with him in the band so most songs are Perry material. This will only lead to comparing the two and not hearing the new Journey.
