Mike Delabar:
The band opened with Separate ways, they sounded good Steve Augeri was a little off on that song on vocals.overall Steve Augeri nailed alot of the songs especially Open Arms,Only the young, and others. Im glad I went to the show.I would of preferred to see Steve Perry but I am glad the band is still together in spite of all the Perry rumors.Neal Schon was awesome .So was Jonathon and Dean was excellent on the drums. The band played the same song set as Syracuse show. All in All I thought it was a great show but Steve Perry probably would make a lot greater.

It was a great performance from the band. They are truly one of the best. They started strong and finished in my opinion stronger. songs from the tower not in any order and I hope I got them all. I wasnt sure if Steve A could be a worthy replacement to Steve P, He is worth of steve's chair but their is truly only one steve God bless the band I wish them many more successful concerts in the future and finally guys dont be a stranger philly would love to have you back :)

The band performed the same set as Syracuse, with one EXCEPTION: Second encore was When You Love a Woman & Ask the Lonely. I believe they only performed WYLAW in Syracuse. I think Philly was the first city where they performed BOTH, rather than one or the other. Steve Augeri sounded pretty much just like Perry would have in concert (Even Perry can't hit all the notes as performed on the albums). If you are a Journey fan, you will NOT be disappointed. This show was everything I expected, and I saw them on their last four tours (Escape, Frontiers, ROR and this one). They came on stage at 8:15, and the house lights came up at 10:35.
As for the other reviews saying the light show was distracting, the only thing I can say is: they were the same lights they toured with on ROR, the only exception being the screen where the patterns were played on was BEHIND them, where as, on ROR tour, they were on triangle screens suspended ABOVE them. Augeri's stage presence was fine. In response to other reviews saying his dancing and what-not was silly: he must have read the reviews, because he wasn't very 'showy', as a matter of fact, he seemed quite comfortable escaping the spotlight and letting the others have more featured time.

The Philly show was awsome! I have been a fan since 1978 and have to say that THE BAND was as good as I have seen them. Neal has to be the best and most versitile guitarist on the planet! J. Cain was possesed Friday night with the new tune "Remember Me" and "Ask the Lonely". I was very impressed with Steve Augeri. He was nailing the vocals on all the songs especially "Stone in Love". I sincerely hope a new Album is in the works soon! If anybody is out there and does not think that it is not Journey without Steve Perry will regret not seeing them on this tour. It was GREAT! go see them!
P.S. Deen was great on drums - he was even wearing a Flyers Jersey ( good taste Deen )
