Ryan:
Coming into the concert, i didn't know what to expect. I'd bought the Armageddon Cd just for the new songs and picked up the Tall Stories Cd off the net to see what Steve Augeri really sounded like. Well, I was actually blown away how good he sounded teh night of the concert. I was about 3/4 of the way back underneath the balcony area, so i got a lot of reflection of the higher frequencies which was a bother at some points... Anyway, the only flaw I noticed of Steve was that he actually started singing the wrong lyrics for "Who's Crying Now," the he caught himself and got back into it. As for Deen, he was great and he missed his cue on "Anytime" partly due to the snare drum he broke from "Just the Same Way" or maybe from the drum solo he had just before. Jon made a mistake by saying that Just the Same way was from teh Infinity album when he introducedit, a rather minor error. Overall, the crowd was really into it most of teh time ecept for some of Neal's solos for some reason. Neal played great but people were leaving during his solos... The concert kicked butt even from where I was near the back. I got a few autographs after teh show and got to meet all of them for a short time. Over all, very cool.
