After eleven years Journey will perform live in concert!!! It has been confirmed that both Steve Perry and Steve Smith will not be performing. Instead Journey has hired new lead singer Steve Augeri (Tall Stories) and Bad English drummer Dean Castronovo. On June 9, 1998, the new Journey line-up played a private rehearsal (which was eventually opened to the public by inventation only). The members included new lead vocalist Steve Augeri and new drummer Deen Castronovo and of course, Neal, Jonathan, and Ross.
Journey performed at this year's Rockfest in Cadott, Wisconsin, on Saturday July 18, 1998.
Journey performed at the Kentucky State Fair on Friday August 21, 1998.
