There is now another new discussion area for Journey fans. A second newsgroup was created: rec.music.artists.journey. This type of newsgroup is usually more readily available on news servers than alt.music.journey. Thanks to Britt.

Journeyfest '99 organizers have received a lot of responses for the special event on June 4th. The deadline for registering is on March 9th. For more information about the event visit the Journeyfest '99 web site. Thanks to Moni.

Neal is having a spring cleaning sale of a lot of his gear he doesn't use anymore, lots of guitars, amphlifiers, speaker cabinets, recording equipment, pedals, lots of things... played on many tours and on many records.. spread the word for me will you. I now have the Journey concert pictures taken at the Mardi Gras Celebration, Universal Studios in Florida, where they performed on February 13, 1999. Thanks to Jurnifer Switzer for the pictures.

Joe Suma has started his own web page, Journey '99, and currently includes more excellent photos from the Mardi Gras Celebration at Universal Studios, Florida.

Neal will be performing at New George's (San Rafael, California) next week for a benefit for Lenny Avillas. Also features Michael Caribello, and Davey Pattison. Thanks to Timothy.

On March 16th, Jonathan, Neal, and Ross accepted the Diamond Award for reaching 10x platinum (10 million sales) of Journey's Greatest Hits album. Thanks to Alan Hummel, Kevin, and Judy.

Unfortunately, Neal Schon wasn't able to perform at the Lenny Avila benefit show at New Georges in San Rafael. Apparently, couldn't get an early enough flight out of Nashville. Thanks to Hoguey.

Jun 20, Mansfield, MA, Tweeter Center for the Performing Arts (Great Woods). Tickets are $35.00 each.

Also, it's confirmed that Kevin Chalfant (The Storm) will perform in Chicago on June 3rd, the day before the Journey opener. Kevin will be performing a benefit for the Rainbow Foundation. You can now order tickets (or simply donate to the Rainbow Foundation) by visiting The Official Clique Record's web site. Everyone who orders on-line will receive a laminated VIP pass good for discounts on merchandise at the show.

Steve Smith informed me that Vital Information now has their own official web site which is superbly designed with member bios, up coming performances, and a message board.
