The new Journey line-up played last night at the private rehearsal show in California. Since I live on the East coast I, of course, couldn't attend the show. I have received a mix of opinions about the show with Steve Augeri on lead vocals. Although, most of the negative comments came from Perry loyalists. Most of the fans did agreed that the new song 'Remember Me' really rocked. Visit my Journey Speakers Corner for reviews from the fans who attended last night's spectacle. Ex-manager Herbie Herbert and drummer Steve Smith also attended.
At the show, they sold new Journey t-shirts specifically for the event. Below is a message from Skylord, who will post pictures of the new memorabilia in a few days.
"There are three shirts available, one hat and a jacket. The shirts have a picture of the band on the front, the back is printed in text with the name of the place, "private invitation only" "family and friends" and "vacation's over". That is available in black or white. Also available is the Japan tour shirt. Really nice embroidered front patch." Skylord.

I have received news that Journey will wait to tour in North America until next year so they can record a new album with Augeri on vocals. At the rehearsal on Tuesday, Scott Cannon asked Journey's Tour Manager about the U.S. Tour and he said it would probably begin in February 1999. I called Journey management a few days ago, but as usual they had no information to release.
