Jonathan made an appearance at Camelot Music in San Francisco to
promote his new CD, For A Lifetime. He will play again next week for a children's benefit at Elim Lutheran Church, Petaluma, March 21. Tickets are $7, call (707) 762-4081. Thanks to Naoki Hamajima, Jeff Fletcher, and BJ Piel.
Here is a message I received from Lora Beard about Jonathan's appearance at Camelot Music:
Jonathan did an in-store today at Camelot Music in San Francisco to promote his new CD, For A Lifetime. He played for over an hour on a
black baby grand that they brought in especially for him. Songs included
quite a few from FAL, plus songs from Back To The Innocence, Piano With
A View and Body Language. His wife, Liz, and oldest daughter, Madison,
were also there. The highlight for me was his rendition of "Little
River" which he sang very lovingly to Madison.
I asked if he had plans for more of these in-stores. He doesn't right
now but promised to let me know if anything is scheduled. After he
played, he signed autographs and took photos with fans. He looked
wonderful and his playing was pure magic. I didn't want to go back to
the office!
Gregg Rolie talks about being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in an interview for Keyboard Magazine (April issue). Also in the interview he talks about about Journey, his solo
career, and Abraxas Pool. I've been told that there is also several pictures of him in his home studio and some samples of Abraxas Pool sheet music. Thanks to Brianne Beazley.
While on the topic of music magazines. Neal is the featured
musician on the front cover of the American Musical Supply's Spring '98
catalog. Sadly, there is no interview with him. Thanks to Douglas Boon.
