Separate messages by Neal and Jonathan were played on radio stations across the U.S., both saying Journey plans to start work on a new reunion album in September. Until then Neal will release his solo CD, 'Electric World' next week (July 15) and Jonathan is currently working on another CD called 'Songs In the Key Of The Heart.'

San Francisco radio station, KFOX 94.5 FM, released the following news:

"Even though Journey didn't tour to support last years reunion album, "Trial By Fire," the group will start work on another album in September. Guitarist Neal Schon says it's possible the band may tour after the album is finished. Meanwhile, he's about to release a solo instrumental jazz album, "Electric World," on July 15th. Keyboardist Jonathan Cain recently released a "sort of 70's English Blues thing" called "Body Language" and is at work on another album called "Songs in the Key of Heart" which will consist of music he's written for various events such as friends weddings."

Thanks to Carol, Scott Thomas Gardner, Matt Levitz, Thomas Lowe, Rici B, and the others who informed me.

I talked to Irene from Journey Management, but all I got was the usual 'no new Journey information.' That was last night. Today I called again and was able to talk with Irving Azoff. He denies any knowledge about the members going back into the studios, hmmmmmmm. Better news though: Irving is going to try and rekindle TBF's flame by releasing a new single from the album. At the time they don't know which single: Still She Cries or When I Think Of You (my fav). He also said they WILL do a promotional video for whichever single they choose to release. Also, Steve is still currently in therapy for his hip injury he suffered last fall.

Abraxas Pool news: BMG/Miramar reissued the CD with new cover art (the blueish colored logo on the back of the original CD) to give it 'a more dynamic look.' Apparently the mixing is also improved. Recently two promos songs (Szabo and Million Miles Away) were released to Rock and Contemporary Jazz stations. So, call your local station and request Abraxas Pool--NOW!!! As for tour plans there are no dates set. Thanks to Stace and Thomas Mehren.

Gregg Rolie's new solo CD, Rough Tracks, was released on Tuesday and available at AOR Heaven. I plan to have sound samples available in a few weeks. Also, Neal's new CD, Electric World, will be released this Tuesday (July 15th) and can be pre-ordered through CDNOW or CD Universe. Again, I plan to have sound samples soon. Thanks to Ronald Dekker for reminding me.

Andrew, from the Hard Rock Hot Spot, faxed Journey management the e-mail messages that many Journey fans sent him over the past few weeks. With it he hopes to get Steve Perry to do an interview and tell us Journey fans what is happening with the band. Thanks to David Harley, Lisa, and Kevin.

I have added sound samples, cover art, and album information from Gregg Rolie's new CD, Rough Tracks. I feel that the album is good (but not the best) and equals his previous two solo albums. There are some really beautiful songs including 'From Night To Night'. Sheryl Crow makes a guest appearance as does Josh Ramos and Kevin Chalfant. Also on the CD Gregg does a cover of The Storm's Still Loving You and Elvis Presley's Jailhouse Rock.

Scott Thomas Gardner has some Journey & Steve Perry items for sale including a 6 foot tall TBF store display.

I have finally added some sound samples and cover art for Neal Schon's new double CD, Electric World.
