Still no solid news from Irving Azoff's Office (he was out of town again). Steve Perry still does not know if he will have to undergo hip surgery and there is absolutely no plans to tour during the summer.April 4, 1997
In the Sony Music's news section there is a message from the webmaster, David Peris. He says that Steve Perry was not the person who posted to the message board recently. David also said he hopes to add audio updates from Steve himself in the near future. Thanks to Chris Santos, Patricia Anderson, and Heather for informing me.Scott Lupro revamped his Departure Page. It now includes updated summaries from all the on-line Journey web pages.

My Journey Tribute Page was awarded the The Most Powerful Award in American Broadcasting.This was sent to me by Tom Gilmore. It was recently posted on Rock on TV:

The Journey segment on Midnight Special aired early this afternoon. It included live performances from 1978 with Steve, Neal, Gregg, Ross, Aynsley and guest Eddie Money. Thanks to Oscar Ayala, Willi Kopp, and William Bowen for informing me.Scott Gardner and Tina Reinhart have started another Journey web page, which includes a message board and on-line chat.

If you see things posted there, more than likely they're rumors. And I'll be from time to time coming on the site here giving you information as to what's going on. Naoki Hamajima informed me that Gregg Rolie will have a live chat on Greg Kihn's morning show, 94.5 KFOX (San Francisco) tomorrow morning (April 18). I believe it will take place sometime between 5:30 - 10:00 a.m.Also, Neal's upcoming CD will be renamed "Electric World" and will include 21 songs on two CDs.
