Since I have no social life and alot of spare time, I decided to put together a Frequently Asked Questions list (FAQ) for Journey. Other people have offered to write it over the past six months, but I guess they all went into hibernation. Here is the first draft (ASCII format). Please, if you have any information that is not listed, please e-mail me.

March 4, 1996

On Friday, Steve Perry appeared briefly with Julie Brown on E! Steve mentioned that Journey has reunited and that they are working on a new album.

March 8, 1996

Steve Smith & Vital Information will be releasing their seventh album titled "Ray Of Hope". The release date for the new album is tentatively set for April 16, 1996.

March 20, 1996

We can finally vote for the creation of the newsgroup rec.music.artists.journey. Search for the message "CFV: rec.music.artists.journey" that was posted to the following newsgroups: alt.rock-n-roll, alt.rock-n-roll.classic, alt.rock-n-roll.hard, rec.music.info, rec.music.misc, news.groups, and news.announce.newsgroups. The CFV (Call For Votes) include the instructions and the ballot to vote. Please read the CFV carefully and e-mail the ballot (as stated in the CFV) with your vote. The voting deadline is April 10, 1996 at 23:59:59 UTC.

Unfortunately, because of regulations, I cannot post the CFV on the Journey Home Page. For those who think they missed the original postings, wait a couple of days in case your mail server is slow in posting it. The CFV will be posted a second time, in about 10 days.

Lastly, I hope all Journey fans who have access to newsgroups will support the creation of the newsgroup. If the newsgroup does not pass the required percentage of votes, it will not be created. If the Journey newsgroup is created Journey fans will have several options to chat about their favorite group and for me (as web and FAQ maintainer) to collect more information on Journey and post any news of their upcoming album and tour.
