With so many members on the Journey Mailing List (300+) and the number of daily postings, plus the servers additional mailing lists, the list server has become overloaded with traffic. The List Owner informed everyone that he needs to find a new home for the list or to reduce the number of daily posts, else he would have to eliminate the Journey Mailing List completely.

As a result, long-time list member and supporter Britt Pierce, has made a proposal to ALT.CONFIG to create a newsgroup under ALT.MUSIC.JOURNEY. Within the past few days enough users have given their support and advice for a Journey newsgroup. Following their advice Britt has posted a Request For Discussion to NEWS.GROUPS for a newsgroup under REC.MUSIC.ARTISTS.JOURNEY, which would be more accessible to everyone. Please support the Request For Discussion for REC.MUSIC.ARTISTS.JOURNEY by joining in the discussion in NEWS.GROUPS.

Recently The List Owner has announced to me that the server traffic has decreased (as a result of removing other mailing lists). Therefore, the Journey Mailing List is presently safe and hopefully it still won't be terminated.
